Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or location entered into a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. We do not keep or log those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email may be retained long enough to respond and manage the correspondence. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, servers may record routine technical details about the visit:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Browser type and version
- Device category and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They and analytics services help summarize traffic, such as popular pages and common exit points. A browser can be set to reject cookies, though some functions may then behave differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Operating the site and maintaining page performance
- Routing a submitted query to the selected search provider

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Irion County Criminal History does not maintain, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal-record data. It publishes general routing information for records kept by the Irion County clerk and sheriff, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. Government access follows the Texas Public Information Act, court-access rules, and criminal-history dissemination limits such as Government Code Section 411.135. Visitor information is not turned into a consumer report or a third-party criminal profile. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. Information submitted through a box is governed by that provider's privacy policy rather than this one. Each partner sets its own retention and disclosure terms, which we do not control. Review those terms before running a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Irion County offices, Texas agencies, court portals, or outside search services. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy policy applies. Read it before providing personal information.
Some advertising providers may use their own systems to track activity across websites for targeted advertising.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:
- Search providers processing a query submitted through their tool
- Analytics services measuring traffic and performance
- Advertising networks placing ads on these pages
- Government or law-enforcement bodies acting under a valid legal order
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security practices are used for data in our control. No internet system is entirely secure, so protection against every breach cannot be guaranteed.
Users Under 18
This resource is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Data found to have been submitted by a minor will be deleted.
Your Data Rights
Applicable law, including the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act in Business and Commerce Code Chapter 541, may provide additional rights over personal data. Subject to legal exceptions, a visitor may:

- Seek correction of inaccurate personal data
